Baotou Steel (Group) Co., Ltd., commonly known as Baogang Group, is a state-owned iron and steel company headquartered in the Baotou City, Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region, China. Baotou Steel Group (Baotou Steel) was reorganized in June l998 from Baotou Iron and Steel Company (established in l954).
During the construction phase of Baotou Steel, metal structure installers are installing the main plant structure of the No. 1 open-hearth furnace (issued on April 27, 1960). Baotou Iron & Steel (Group) Co., Ltd. was founded in 1954 and is one of the 156 key projects built during the "First Five-Year Plan" period of New China.
In 2011, the annual steel output of Baotou Steel reached 10.2212 million tons, and it entered the ranks of 10 million tons of steel enterprises in the mainland in one fell swoop. Baotou Iron & Steel (Group) Co., Ltd. was founded in 1954 and is one of the 156 key projects built during the "First Five-Year Plan" period of New China.
On the morning of August 31, 2016, the dismantling of the No. 2 blast furnace of the ironmaking plant of Baotou Iron and Steel Group was officially launched, which can reduce the ironmaking capacity by 1.33 million tons.

The Energy Storage Market size is estimated at USD 295 billion in 2025, and is expected to reach USD 465 billion by 2030, at a CAGR of 9.53% during the forecast period (2025-2030). This scale-up rests on falling battery pack prices, policy incentives that reward standalone storage, and a rising. [pdf]
These classifications lead to the division of energy storage into five main types: i) mechanical energy storage, ii) chemical energy storage, iii) electrochemical energy storage, iv) electrostatic and electromagnetic energy storage, and v) thermal energy storage, as illustrated in (Figure 2).
Electrostatic and electromagnetic energy storage systems store electrical energy, with no conversion to other forms of energy (i.e., stores as electric field). Capacitors, Supercapacitors and Superconducting magnetic Energy Storage (SMES) belong to this type of energy storage system (32).
The most common chemical energy storage systems include hydrogen, synthetic natural gas, and solar fuel storage. Hydrogen fuel energy is a clean and abundant renewable fuel that is safe to use. The hydrogen energy can be produced from electrolysis or sunlight through photocatalytic water splitting (16,17).
It was classified into three types, such as sensible heat, latent heat and thermochemical heat storage system (absorption and adsorption system) (65). (Figure 14) shows the schematic representation of each thermal energy storage systems (66). Figure 14. Schematic representation of types of thermal energy storage system. Adapted from reference (66).
Chemical energy storage is a promising technology for storing large amounts of energy for long periods. The most common chemical energy storage systems include hydrogen, synthetic natural gas, and solar fuel storage. Hydrogen fuel energy is a clean and abundant renewable fuel that is safe to use.
The predominant concern in contemporary daily life is energy production and its optimization. Energy storage systems are the best solution for efficiently harnessing and preserving energy for later use. These systems are categorized by their physical attributes. Energy storage systems are essential for reliable and green energy in the future.
